Digital and Physical Deconstruction

Aprotocall can help you adhere to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 93H which requires all businesses holding the Personally Identifiable Information of a Massachusetts resident to prevent identity theft by following certain measures. Massachusetts General Law Chapter 93I requires businesses to have a written policy regarding the disposal of what is deemed “sensitive information.” 93I mandates the destruction of physical files containing sensitive information. It also requires the destruction of any electronic files and data storage devices containing PII of employees and customers.

Aprotocall can perform a risk assessment to see how well your company adheres to 93H and 93I. After this initial evaluation of vulnerabilities we can do complete digital and physical deconstruction for your business as well as assisting you in writing a policy regarding future protection and disposal of PII. These laws are of the utmost importance to abide by and not only for the sake of your customers’ privacy and security and your company’s good name. There are sizable fines imposed per record compromised: up to $5000 for 93H and $100 for 93I with a maximum of fine $50,000.
